Vandaag viel mijn oog op een HR vacature die heel aardig aansluit op de ontwikkelingen die ik in deze blog beschrijf. Niet geheel verwonderlijk is deze functie bij een bedrijf dat actief is in een relatief nieuwe sector van de duurzame energie voorziening. De moeite waard om dit profiel te bekijken en te vertalen naar de ontwikkelingen zoals wij die ook in Nederland signaleren. In dit profiel ligt de focus op de ”typische” HR activiteiten. De community development toevoeging is naar mijn idee in ieder geval zeer op zijn plaats.

We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to manage the delivery of a full spectrum of human resources and community relations issues while focusing on daily HR service and operational requirements. This position handles core functions efficiently and effectively to comply with state and federal employment regulations to minimize liability for the company. This key role will oversee HR activities to include development and implementation of programs to support the overall growth of the organization, productivity improvement and employee relations within the community.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Advisor regarding local HR policy and programs for employees and managers
- Manage short-term, high-volume hiring of line workforce with local recruiting and hiring agencies
- Interact with surrounding community and participate in programs to expand company presence within the area
- Respond upon demand to legal changes and management and employee needs to meet state and federal employment regulations to minimize liability for the company
- Oversee and administer employee benefits, insurance and training
- Process new hires and terminations
- Maintain all the relevant employee data and submit relevant reports to government and management in a timely manner
- Obtain market surveys and create compensation ranges and strategies to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness
- Manage employee relations issues and provide counseling & guidance to the employees and managers when the employee relations issues arise
- Provide support to corporate HR employees
- Perform other related duties as required
- Develop local-focused job training programs
